With great sadness, the Hope Christian High School Alumni Association would like to announce that our beloved teacher and pastor, Young Chi So Kun 徐素勤老師 had gone to be with her Creator and her Savior Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Young Chi So Kun had served as faculty member in the Chinese Department of Hope Christian High School for 55 years from 1956 to 2011. In her last 10 years at Hope, she was the Chinese Department Bible Teacher.
She also served as a pastoral staff in Jubilee Evangelical School for 34 years from 1972 to 2006 then as caring and visitation volunteer pastor for 15 years from 2006 to 2021.
Within the past week prior to her departure, she had been admitted to the hospital because of the complications of COVID infection.
She was survived by her husband and three children. Two of her children are alumni of Hope; Pastor Victor Young 楊百勝傳道 (Pearls of Hope 1977) and Rev. Benjamin Young 楊百立牧師 (Embers 1980).
