Message from Mrs. Rosy Magallanes:

—————————————————————————————————

My Beloved Hope Alumni of America,

Greeting everyone and good day with the love of God.

I know, the word THANK YOU even mentioned many times will never suffice in response for all your financial help during my surgery and 8 cycle of chemo radiation due to my Rectal Cancer Stage 2. Truly your concerns and help was so amazing, overwhelming and has be an outpour of blessings to me and my family.

Just read from a book, Teachers Tales, “The life of a teacher is often a life of poverty in the material sense.” I felt a struck in my heart, that after teaching for 30 years, I didn’t have P400,000.00 for my surgery. And it so happened that my third son working as Physical Therapy in New Jersey passed away due to Covid last April 19, 2020, a total loss to the whole family. But then, God had an amazing plan. Though I lost my son, I gained much much more children.

Again, thank you to Edward Tan sent through Joseph Cua. Special thanks to Leonedes Son who reached out to Dr. Billy James Uy, who made it possible for me to be operated at the Chinese General Hospital with the help of Rosalina Sy of Batch 94 as my Cardiologist.

My great appreciation to all the other alumni who helped and extended their care and support. Special mention to Bernard Ong from New Jersey who gave lion share for my surgery and to the others from the differents parts of the US. I’m now under the care of Dr. Elsie Lim, one of the students of Mrs. Quilala in Physics, she was referred by Dr. Uy as my Oncologist at Metropolitan Hospital. What a BLESSING talaga!

Sorry if I can’t remember each one of you but you will be always in my heart. Sabi ko, I only gave a dot but you gave back a long straight line. In Chemistry, every alumni served as an electron and formed a big orbitals. A very unique opportunity and the irony of things, that once or years ago, you see my class as a boring and difficult subject, but seeing how you guys turned out and your achievements had even reached the star, made it all seem fulfilling on my part as your teacher.

I just hope and pray that God will give back to each one of you a hundred folds, for all your support, care and generosity. My heartfelt thanks and gratitude. God bless you all and your family. Mahigpit na yakap sa lahat ng Hope Alumni sa America.

To God be the honor and glory!

Keep safe everyone.

With all my love,

Mrs. Rosy Magallanes
